Privacy policy

Effective 22 September 2026. This policy is written under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on the processing of personal data.

2. What we do not do

Stated plainly, because it determines almost everything else in this policy:

• We set no cookies of any kind — not necessary, not functional, not analytics, not advertising.
• We use no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no server-side analytics product, no page-view counter.
• We load no advertising or conversion pixel, from any network.
• We write nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
• We make no third-party requests. No web fonts, no content delivery network, no remote images, no embedded video, no social buttons, no comment system. Every file the page loads comes from this domain.
• We carry out no profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
• We operate no contact form, no newsletter and no account system, so there is nothing to sign up to and nothing to collect.
• We never sell, rent or share personal data. There is none to sell.

3. What is processed, and why

3.1 Web server access logs

Like every web server, the server delivering this site records a line for each request it answers. This happens at the network level and cannot be switched off without making the site impossible to operate securely. Each entry typically contains:

• the IP address the request came from;
• the date and time of the request;
• the address requested and the HTTP status returned;
• the number of bytes sent;
• the referring address, if your browser sent one;
• the browser’s user-agent string.

Purpose: keeping the site available, diagnosing faults, and detecting and defending against attacks and abuse.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of our own website. We consider this interest not to be overridden by your rights, because the data is not used to identify you, is not combined with any other source, is not used for analytics or marketing, and is never used to build a profile.
Retention: logs are kept only for as long as they serve those purposes — a short operational period set by our hosting provider — and are then deleted or overwritten. We do not archive them and we do not analyse them for any commercial purpose.
Recipients: our hosting provider, acting as a processor under Article 28 GDPR.

3.2 Email you send us

If you write to info@slovaris.online we process your address, your message and anything else you put in it, in order to read and answer you.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence; or Article 6(1)(b) where your message concerns steps taken at your request; or Article 6(1)(c) where we are under a legal obligation, for example to handle a data subject request or a legal notice.
Retention: for as long as needed to deal with the matter, and afterwards only where a legal obligation or a limitation period requires it. Correspondence with no continuing purpose is deleted.
Recipients: our email provider, acting as a processor.

3.3 What happens when you follow a partner link

When you click a commercial link you leave this site. We do not track the click, we set nothing in your browser and we receive no personal data about you from anyone. The advertiser may later tell us, in aggregate, that a subscription was started — without identifying who started it.

Once you are on the advertiser’s site, their privacy policy applies, not ours. They will very probably set cookies and use analytics. We have no control over that and no visibility into it. Read their policy on their site.

Your browser sends this site’s address as the referrer when you follow a link, under the policy strict-origin-when-cross-origin. That means an external site learns that you came from https://slovaris.online, but not which page you were on. You can change this in your own browser settings.

4. Who else receives data

Only the two processors named above: the hosting provider that runs the server, and the email provider that carries our mailbox. Both act on our instructions under a contract meeting Article 28 GDPR. We disclose personal data to no one else, except where we are obliged to by law.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area. Our hosting and email are provided within the EEA. Should that ever change, this policy will be updated first and an appropriate safeguard under Chapter V GDPR will be in place.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access (Article 15) — confirmation of whether we process data about you, and a copy of it.
• Rectification (Article 16) — correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure (Article 17) — deletion, where the conditions are met.
• Restriction (Article 18) — limiting how we use it, in defined circumstances.
• Data portability (Article 20) — where processing is by consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
• Object (Article 21) — to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis. We do not currently rely on consent for anything.

To exercise any of these, write to info@slovaris.online. We answer within one month, as required by Article 12(3), and may extend that by two further months for complex requests, telling you if we do. There is no charge. We may need to ask a question to be sure we are answering the right person.

A practical note. Because we collect nothing, an access request will usually find nothing to give you beyond correspondence you have already had with us. Server log entries are not indexed by person and are ordinarily deleted before a request could be processed; we will tell you honestly if that is the case rather than pretend to search.

7. Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR). Our supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic, uoou.cz. We would be glad if you told us first at info@slovaris.online, but you are not obliged to.

8. Children

This site is aimed at a general adult audience. We do not knowingly process any data relating to children, and we collect nothing that would allow us to determine a visitor’s age.

9. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security. It contains no forms, no login and no database, which removes most of the ways a website can leak personal data. Access to our mailbox is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted on our corrections page. This version is effective 22 September 2026.
